Judy is a North London based artist who creates vibrant and expressive paintings inspired by the drama in nature.
Painting in acrylics, she captures fleeting moments of beauty, whether it be flowers bursting into life, or dramatic cloudscapes and sunsets.
Playing with scale, contrast and colour, Judy creates contemporary takes on nature-inspired subjects. With all of her work, her aim is to create decorative, striking pieces which have lots to explore
Experimenting with degrees of abstraction, Judy varies her practice from representational work through to more abstract versions of her style.
The results are energetic, colourful, statement pieces which celebrate nature whilst also creating decorative pieces to liven up interior spaces.
Judy often works from a reference photo, but allows creative intuition to take over as she builds up the layers and adds in interesting marks and patterns, which results in a lovely balance of realism and imagination in her work, giving lots to explore.
She regularly exhibits her work across London and Hertfordshire as well as running painting classes and workshops where she enjoys passing on her passion to others.
