Juan del Pozo is a celebrated Spanish painter whose work predominantly features landscapes, portraiture, and still life. Rooted in the vibrant culture of his homeland, Juan continues to be based in the heart of Madrid. 

 

While Juan mainly works with oil paints, he also excels in engraving and watercolor, showcasing his versatility across various media. His impressionistic style is characterized by a vibrant color palette and meticulous impasto brushstrokes, which impart a unique texture and energy to his works. His compositions are often filled with an array of pastels that bring his everyday scenes to life. Whether capturing the architecture of Madrid, river scenes, or nature with a distinctive interpretative view, Juan’s dynamic use of colour and liberated gestures creates visually compelling representations of his subjects

 

Biography

Encouraged by his father, José Rodríguez, Juan’s artistic talent was nurtured from a young age, ultimately leading him to pursue formal studies in Madrid. He has been a professional painter since 1989, following in the footsteps of his family and establishing himself as a distinguished artist.

Juan has accepted numerous commissions to paint murals across Spain. With his extensive background in architecture and his role as the art director of the architectural firm "Idealiza," he masterfully captures form and perspective in his artwork. 

 

He has exhibited extensively throughout Spain and Portugal, and his work is represented internationally. Juan’s latest artworks are currently in London and are spreading to various art fairs across America and Asia.

 

His art has earned prestigious awards and is held in private collections in Spain, England, France, Portugal, Sweden, and Brazil.
