Sarah Jefferson
From rural landscapes to the energy of great cities, each location leaves its own imprint on her expressive visual language.
Growing up between the English countryside and a lifetime of travel, Sarah Jefferson’s work is rooted in a fascination with place, atmosphere and the stories held within architecture. From rural landscapes to the energy of great cities, each location leaves its own imprint on her expressive visual language.
Working intuitively with loose mark-making, texture and light, Sarah creates illustrations that capture the feeling of a place rather than simply its appearance.
After studying Textiles for Interior Art and Design at Heriot-Watt University in Scotland before graduating with First Class Honours in Fashion Illustration from the London College of Fashion, Sarah developed a distinctive style that blends confident ink work, painterly washes and richly layered textures. Early experience within creative studios including Matthew Williamson and Charlotte Tilbury shaped her appreciation for craftsmanship, luxury branding and thoughtful storytelling.
Working intuitively with loose mark-making, texture and light, Sarah creates illustrations that capture the feeling of a place rather than simply its appearance. Her work celebrates iconic destinations, beautiful interiors and meaningful moments, balancing architectural detail with spontaneity to create artwork that feels both timeless and full of life.
